NEB Hearing Order Update
On Thursday March 20, 2008, SemCAMS received a letter from the NEB suspending the June 3, 2008 hearing date for the SemCAMS Redwillow Pipeline Project (Hearing Order GH-2-2008). The Board felt that they required further information from SemCAMS on routing revisions proposed and potential traditional land use impacts before they could proceed with the Hearing.
SemCAMS and its counsel will be working with the Board to clarify their reasons for the suspension and to understand how SemCAMS can expedite their requested information in order to keep the current Hearing Date and the Redwillow Project schedule on track. In the interim, SemCAMS is working diligently to complete the information requested by the Board in their letter. If you have any questions about this topic please contact the Redwillow Pipeline Project team.
National Energy Board (NEB) Hearing Order
On Friday, February 8, 2008 the National Energy Board (NEB) issued a news release stating they have scheduled an oral public hearing, if necessary, for the SemCAMS Redwillow Pipeline Project for Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at a location to be determined.
The announcement of the NEB Hearing Order (GH-2-2008) is another significant regulatory step in the approval of the Redwillow Pipeline Project. Over the next few weeks, there will be required public notices appearing in Alberta and BC regional papers regarding the public hearing and the procedures available for the public to become involved in the hearing process.
SemCAMS has filed an electronic copy of the complete Project Application and Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment with the NEB. It is available for viewing on the NEB’s electronic document repository at www.neb-one.gc.ca (click on “Regulatory Documents” then “Quick Links” and scroll down to the SemCAMS application).
National Energy Board (NEB) Project Application
